Nativity Scene

Thank you to all the Knights who helped set up the Nativity Scene. A special thank you to Randy Monson for leading the effort and the addition of the new star.

Monday Night Football Party

The Knights hosted a parish wide Monday Night Football Party in the Parish Hall. Gumbo, chili, hot dogs, and drinks were provided by the Knights. The Ignite Council provided desserts. The event included a raffle and freewill offering to support the JPK House of Love which benefits Father Gilbert in India. It was a great event, good game, and over $11,400 was raised for the JPK House of Love. Thank you to all who attended and supported the event.

November Meeting

Our council meeting included State Council Advocate Mike Grothoff, ReachKCK Director Tricia Hutchison, and Father Gerard as guest speakers.  We want to welcome Ed Embree and Frank Costanza as new first degree members to our council. We also had 3 younger men who were already Knights move into our Parish recently. Andrew Fennell, Matthew Grothoff, and Robert Hotz have transferred into our council. 

Knight of the Quarter

Vito Carabetta was named as our Knight of the Quarter at our October council meeting. Vito has been an officer for the council and is an active volunteer at a variety of events. Thanks Vito!

St Mary's Food Kitchen

The Knights served our special pulled pork and beans at the St Mary's food kitchen. We served 290 meals. Thanks to the Knights who smoked the meat earlier in the Month as well as Mike Amos, Mike Bartkowski, Dean Ketchum, Gene Zwolinski, Greg Bolts, Steve Mendenhall, Tim Plank, Fred Kipp,  Tom Whitehead, Robert Massey, along with other parishioners and wives for showing up to help serve.

August Meeting

Our council welcomed three new members. Congratulations to Ben Biller, Chris Boland, and Dave Burnett. Prior to our meeting members helped assemble a new Gaga Pit for the school. New associate Pastor Gerard Alba was a special guest and gave us some background on his vocations journey.

Summer Food Drive

The food drive was a great success. We collected over 6000 pounds of food and also collected $1365.00 in cash donations. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Joe & Kathy Falco Honored

Congratulations to Joe & Kathy Falco for receiving The Way of a Saint award for their work and dedication to Camp Tekakwitha at the Prairie Star Ranch.

July Meeting

Knight of the Quarter Gary Roethle was honored as our council's Knight of the Quarter. Gary joined the Knights and our council in July of 2019 and has immersed himself in service. He is a shining example of how to get involved as a new member. Religious Freedom Rally Our council participated in the Religious Freedom Rally that took place at Ascension Church on June 31st. Thank you to all that attended and the Knights that help with the event.

Sister Sacrifice A.k.a. Ann Marie Whitehead visited our monthly council meeting to talk about her vocation and new assignment. We are honored to have supported her during her formation and will keep her in our prayers.  We also welcomed Larry Peal and Tony Haworth as new members into the council.

2019 Fish Fry's

The 2019 Lenten Fish Fry's were a great success. Thank you to all the people who attended and also to all the volunteers who helped serve and also to all who donated desserts. April Meeting

Our council welcomed Randall Stevenson as a new member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom Whitehead presented Gene Zwolinski with the Knight of the Quarter award.

March Meeting

Our council was honored to present Ruth Tisdale of Advice and Aid with a check for $2500.00 which was the total proceeds we collected in our Roses for Life campaign in late January. Paul Camarata joined as a new member and also gave us an overview of the visitation of the relic of St John Vianney which is coming to Nativity on March 17th.

2019 Parish Free Throw Contest

Congratulations to this years winners of the annual Knights of Columbus Parish Free Throw Competition. Each age division winner received a regulation basketball, compliments of the Knights of Columbus. Each age division winner will be invited to the district competition which is scheduled for Sunday February 3rd, 1 pm at St Micheal's Church. Roses for Life

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Roses for Life fundraiser last weekend. We raised a total of $2474.00 which will go to Advice and Aid to help provide pro-life alternatives for those seeking abortions. A special thanks to Gene Zwolinski for leading this project and the "de-thorners" in the photo for making the roses safe. Larry & Diane Brockhaus, Tim Plank, Greg Bolts, Bob Vedder & Robyn Zwolinski.

January Meeting

Bud Lauer was honored at our January meeting for his many years of service to our council. The council also welcomed three new members through the first degree. The new members are Richard Brown, Robert Massey and Kevin Conrad.
