Our June Meeting was June 6th with around 70 present. Cherian Kizhatekam was a guest with intentions of joining our council. Our insurance agent David Soukup introduced a Nativity Parishioner Michael McDonnell who will be our new council insurance representative going forward. Our football raffle tickets are now available. We voted to donate $1000 to our new associate priest Father Sudeep to help with his India trip. Dan Mauro, one of the seminarians we support, attended the meeting and gave a brief overview of his journey to priesthood. Tim Kane starts his tenure as Grand Knight. Our brother Tim Plank passed away and his funeral was June 8th. Tim was a long time very active Knight and leader of many projects in our council.

Pictured below are Gene Zwolinski (Grand Knight) Chris Sain, Matt Moore, Jim DeStefano, and Steve Heeney (Membership Director). The many activities we have on the schedule for May were discussed and our council elections were conducted. Tim Kane is our new Grand Knight, Mark Mason is our new Deputy Grand Knight, Lee Sabata is our new Recorder, and Steve Heeney will be taking over the Financial Secretary position. The other officer positions stayed the same for the next council year. Thank you Gene Zwolinski for your leadership over the last two years!

Fish Fry Success

Image
The fish fries were a great success. Fr. Mike liked his meal as well as over 600 people on the last fish fry for Lent.  Our cook team did a great job and there were lots of parishioners and neighbors who enjoyed the best fish fry in town.

April Meeting

Another great turnout for our monthly meeting with a couple of guests attending. Discussed the success of our fish fries so far as well as planning to help with the upcoming food drive, providing or preparing food for the Seder Dinner, Knight Flight run, 8th grade graduation brunch, and possible pulled pork smoke before Memorial Day. A very deserving Tom Fowler was presented with our Knight of the Quarter.

Our Friday fish fries are back in person and are going great! Thank you to all who have attended and supported each week and also to all of our dedicated volunteers. We have averaged over 500 meals for the first four Fridays. We are capable of feeding more, so please consider attending over the next couple of weeks and enjoy the best fish fry and fellowship in town.
