Breakfast with Santa

 Our Breakfast with Santa was a huge success today. The parish hall was filled most of the morning with lots of kids and adults. Every table was filled more than once. Liz Hagen and Suzy Meinzenbach supported us with 7th and 8th grade volunteers. Annual Christmas Party

 Our council Christmas party was a great night for our members and spouses to enjoy a great meal provided by Brancato's catering. Grand Knight Gene Zwolinski thanked Joe Falco for the party planning and Liz Hagen for the decorations. Great turnout for the celebration of around 114 people. 

Nativity Scene Setup

The Knights setup the life-size Nativity scene for the Advent season. Thank you to the Knights who helped with the assembly. 

Football Watch Party

 Our November meeting was also a Chiefs Watch Party for the men of Nativity. We had over 75 in attendance. The meeting was abbreviated and our cook team provided a great tailgate meal. Steve Heeney and Toby Boshert put together raffle drawings and games to add to the fun.   

October Meeting

 Great turnout for October. Knight of the Quarter was presented to Erik Bendorf. Sister Sacrifice gave our council an update on her vocation and our council provided her with our yearly support. The Tootsie Roll drive will be the weekend of October 16th & 17th. Our next meeting is Monday, November 1st with games and Monday Night Football to watch the Chief's play the New York Giants.

September Meeting

 Our regular council meeting included welcoming a couple of new members. Zach Kelly and John Harrington joined our council. Daniel Fowler also presented the corn hole game sets he built for the council as part of his Eagle Scout project.  Thank you Daniel, great job.

Recent Activities

 The Knights recently assisted with the food for the block party rosary, assembling a backyard play set for a local foster family, and serving breakfast for the Catholic Business Network event. Thank you to all who helped. 

July Activities

  Our Council meeting was July 5th. Frank Caro has joined our council after going through online exemplifications. We have kick off our annual football raffle and will be able to sell tickets after weekend Masses July 11th, 18th, & 25th. We are also supporting the clothing drive the weekend of July 17-18th. Thanks to all the members who are helping with these projects. 

June Council Meeting

 Great turnout for our June meeting. Three men went through the new degree ceremonies and joined the council. Pictured below are Scott Greger, Andy Blalock, and Rick Robinson, along with membership chairman Steve Heeney. Our council will provide another smoked pulled pork sale on June 24-26th. Ordering will again be online prior to the event. Our annual play along football raffle has begun with Tom Whitehead starting to distribute the raffle tickets at the meeting. 

May Council Meeting

Another great turnout with over 50 members at our May council meeting. Susie Boster spoke about the Foster Program in the Archdiocese and how we can help with the program. Father Gerard opened with a prayer and spoke about his upcoming 6 week summer Prodigal Son program starting in June.  Kerby Clevenger went through the new degree ceremonies and joined our council. Jimmy Powers was recognized as our latest Knight of the Quarter. The council approved a funding request received through our funding committee of $1400 to help the Saint Mary's food kitchen purchase needed equipment. Our local 4th Degree council is selling slabs of ribs for $20 each and pickup the weekend of May 15th. Our council is selling pulled pork in 2 pound bags for $25 each for pickup the weekend of May 22nd. Council elections were held and the budget for next fiscal year was presented and approved. Lenten Fish Fry

 Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters of our 2021 Lenten Fish Fry's. A link to photos by John Caulfield is available below. It was a very different but successful year with only the curbside pickup option. We served a total of 2693 total meals / items over the 6 weeks. March Meeting

 Our March meeting was attended by around 45 guys, which is getting closer to our pre-pandemic attendance levels. It is great to see people coming back to ur meetings and socializing again. We had a couple of first time visitors inquiring about becoming a Knight and had 3 new members who went through our degree ceremony prior to the meeting. The new members are pictured below. From left to right is Gene Zwolinski, our Grand Knight,  Andrew Caldwell,  John Lubianesky  &  Joe Terranova.  Matt Textor gave an update on our Lenten Fish Fry's. The conversion to a curbside pickup only has been a challenge, but has proven to be effective with  with 306 meals served our first week and 519 served for the second.  Matt, the cooking, and serving teams have done a great job with this transition. Ben Biller promoted the upcoming Food Drive which will be taking place the weekend of March 13th & 14th. 

Lenten Fish Fry #1

 It was good to get back to our Lenten Fish Fry's, even though we can only provide to go take out orders. The cook team was ready despite the cold weather and we got a chance to test our picking, packaging and curbside delivery setup. Thanks to all who supported us with orders and to all the volunteers who made it happen. Hope to see you all next week.

February Meeting - Advice & Aid Support

There was a great turnout for our February meeting. Preparations are being made for our Lenten Fish Fry's which will be exclusively takeout with curbside delivery in the lower parking lot starting February 19th. Ruth Tisdale of Advice and Aid updated our council on their work over the past year and the Knights presented her with a $2400.00 check, which came from our recent Roses for Life fundraiser.

Roses for Life

  Thank you to everyone who helped with the Roses for Life fundraiser weekend. We raised a total of $2280.00 which will go to Advice and Aid to help provide pro-life alternatives for those seeking abortions. A special thanks to John Brinker for leading this project and the "de-thorners" in the photo for making the roses safe. Larry Brockhaus, Ben Biller, Randy Monson & John Brinker.

Nativity Scene Takedown

January Meeting

We had great food and a good turnout for our January 4th monthly meeting. Gene reported on feedback our council receive in response to our support  for 27 men and women in religious formation. The state council has canceled the state, regional, and local free throw contests for 2021. Our council will be supporting Life on the anniversary of Roe vs Wade on the weekend of January 15th & 16th, with our annual Roses for Life fundraiser to support the local Advice and Aid Clinic. The cook team is discussing alternative Fish Fry options for this years Lent.
